Out of the Park

Azpro created a graphic designed for a double take.

Big Picture

Azpro, a PSP in Avondale, Arizona, was presented with an opportunity to capitalize on some prime ad space in the Legends Entertainment District in Phoenix – they knocked it out of the park. With the Arizona Diamondbacks playing nearby, they decided to utilize a baseball theme and install a graphic that made it appear as if a giant baseball had smashed into the side of the garage where the billboard hung.

“We were given less than a week to conceptualize, design, print, and install this project,” says Tom Radz, marketing specialist, Azpro Group. “There were several challenges involved, including matching the color of the garage and the angle of the image taken to recreate the job.” To produce the installation the shop used an HP Scitex XP5100 printer onto UltraFlex 7-oz Billboard Select Eclipse banner. The installation was such a hit, it was displayed for five months longer than originally planned.
