The International Sign Association (ISA) and Roland DGA have released a new white paper, “Dynamic Digital Signage Opportunities for Sign Companies.” The nine-page document, complete with images, charts, and illustrations, examines the digital signage market and includes case studies of sign shops that have incorporated this line of business.
“This is essential reading for any sign shop thinking of entering the digital signage space,” says Greg Collin, Roland DGA product manager, digital signage, in the release. “It examines the latest data, shows how digital signage can complement traditional print offerings, and presents a compelling case for taking advantage of the lucrative opportunities to get new and current customers started with affordable, easy-to-use digital sign systems. Research shows that the average digital signage customer has anywhere from one to five locations, so a single client can lead to multiple installations.”
According to the white paper, digital signage will grow to $17.1 billion in worldwide sales by 2017, and about one-third of that will be in the U.S. Digital signage is used in various industries, with retail currently as the top market, followed by quick-serve restaurants, corporate, and health care applications.
