Big Picture

Scitex Vision has opened the Vision Academy training and customer support center at its new European Headquarters in Zaventem, near Brussels. Training courses offered at the center are designed to help users of Scitex equipment have better understanding of the technology and its practical applications.

The first training sessions will focus on Scietex Vision's CORjet and VEEjet digital flatbeds and XLjet, and Grandjet roll-to-roll superwide inkjets, and discuss workflow and print-management systems. The hands-on sessions are designed to help customers achieve optimal results on a variety of substrates and improve their understanding of digital workflow for greater productivity.

The basic training (which includes color management) is given as part of the installation process. Upper level courses include workflow and operations training, advanced operator and prepress training, and printing techniques for business development.

ISO Certification: Earlier this year, Scitex Vision's manufacturing operations in Netanya, Israel qualified for ISO 9001-2000 certification. (Scitex Vision: www.scitexvision.com)
