Azon Introduces Textile Printers

No pretreated fabric or thermal fixation necessary

Big Picture
Azon has introduced its Azon tx/74 and Azon tx/100 direct-print textile printers. The new printers do not require pretreated fabric or thermal fixation. The tx prints directly print onto the material, which then goes through a sublimation unit embedded in the printer. The printer also includes an elaborate textile feeder and tension controller, allowing even thin fabrics (such as chiffon) to feed smoothly.

The Azon tx/74 handles fabrics up to 74 in. wide; the Azon tx/100 accommodates materials up to 102 in. wide. Both use either disperse dye ink or pigment ink in either a 6- or 12-color or 6 x 2 or 12 x 1 setup. Both units offers maximum resolutions up to 1440 x 1440 dpi and speeds as high as 301 sq ft/hr in 2-pass mode.

Price: $74,000. (Azon: www.azonprinter.com)
